If your item isn’t quite right, we offer a hassle-free exchange for a different size, colour, or style—any time within 365 days of your original purchase, provided the item is brand new, unused, and still part of our current product range. Return eligibility: To qualify for a return, items must be:

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns if any part of the original packaging is missing or if the item has been used.

Your Right to Cancel Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods. To do so, simply email us at hello@thenurserystore.com with your order number, or send us a written notice.
We’ve also extended your right to request a refund to 30 days from the date your goods were received, giving you extra peace of mind.
Please be aware that if you are cancelling under your statutory rights, return postage costs may apply unless the item is faulty or not as described.

Processing Refunds Once your return is received and approved, we’ll send you an email confirming we’ve received your items, followed by a second email once your refund has been processed. Please allow up to 14 working days for the refund to appear in your account. Refunds are issued to your original payment method.

Do you offer free returns ?
We don’t currently offer free returns as standard. We understand this may be disappointing, but as a family-run business, we choose not to build return costs into our product prices. This helps us keep our prices as low as possible for everyone.
If you’d like to return an item, you have two options:
- You can arrange your own return using a courier of your choice
- Or we can arrange a weekday home collection for you. No printer is needed – the courier will bring everything required.
Return charges depend on the size and weight of the item and are payable upfront. Furniture items, in particular, carry weight-based return fees due to their size and handling requirements.
We offer label-free returns for customers and can arrange collections from any UK mainland address on weekdays. To arrange a return collection, please contact us at hello@thenurserystore.com, providing as much detail as possible about your order and item. We will then forward a payment link for the return service.
Please be mindful of processing times and allow sufficient notice to avoid any disappointment with scheduling your collection.

Can I use my own courier to return an item?
Yes, you’re welcome to return your item using a courier of your choice. If you’d prefer to do this, please contact us in advance to let us know which courier you’ll be using—this helps ensure your return isn’t refused at our returns depot.
When sending the item back, please include your order number as the return reference (you don’t need to include any paperwork in the parcel—this protects your privacy and helps us process your return more quickly).

What happens once I’ve booked a collection?
Once you’ve booked your collection, all you need to do is remove the original delivery label from your box and reseal it as if it were ready for a new delivery. Our team will take care of arranging the courier to collect your parcel.
Please keep in mind that if a collection is missed, there is a rebooking fee to cover the extra admin involved. For DPD parcels, this fee is £10.00 per parcel, and for larger furniture items, the fee will be charged at the applicable tariff rate.
Can I arrange returns for furniture items?
Yes, you can arrange returns for furniture items as long as they are brand new and unassembled. Once a furniture item has been assembled, it cannot be returned.
Return charges for furniture are based on weight, and our team will gladly help you understand any costs involved and guide you through the process.
Please note that furniture items are excluded from our free returns for exchanges and the 365-day returns policy.
