Starting off as a reclinable rear-facing infant carrier (up to 18kg) for the smallest of passengers, the Joie Every Stage car seat then converts to a forward-facing Group 1 seat, then onto a Group 2/3 seat giving you four seats in one!
Accommodating your child from birth until approx. 12 years old, the Every Stage car seat will be a familiar travel companion throughout your child’s childhood. With Guard Surround Safety panels this seat provides extra side protection which can be individually activated for extra room in your vehicle.
The 5 point harness and padded headrest adjust simultaneously with the use of just one hand and the auto-adjust side wings widen as headrest is raised, eradicating the need for tricky rethreading every few months.
Finally, the integrated compartments store the 5 point harness when used as a group 2 booster.

It was not obvious that there were 2 models of the same seat so ordered the seatbelt only version instead of the iso-fix (fx) version in error. We have stuck with the seatbelt only one as is is slightly narrower so fits better in a small car.

The Every Stage has a multi-piece infant body and head support. The head insert is typically removed first (when baby's head feels too snug). The body cushion is removed around 6–9 months, and the remaining wedge can be used until the baby is around 12–15 months, though this varies by the child's size.
You do not need to manually re-thread or remove the harness completely. Instead, you unclip the upholstery, tuck the 5-point harness into the built-in Harness Hideaway compartments, and reattach the cushion.
The seat features a Grow Together system. You simply pull the lever on the headrest, and the multi-height headrest and harness system adjust simultaneously with one hand without any re-threading.
Yes, but only in rear-facing mode, and you must deactivate the vehicle's front passenger airbag first. However, Joie recommends placing child seats in the rear of the vehicle whenever possible.
The original Joie Every Stage is installed exclusively using the vehicle's 3-point seatbelt. If you want ISOFIX functionality, look specifically for the Joie Every Stage FX or Every Stage R129 models, which utilise ISOFIX and top tether for forward-facing installations.
